20th International Festival of Organ Music
The preparations have been started!
The jubilee festival will be held in the Municipal Concert Hall from September 26 to October 31 offering the Krasnodar public an opportunity to learn several names of the music world as the guests of the capital of Kuban will be well-known musicians from five countries.
On September 26 the festival will open with a concert by James Higdon (USA) backuped by the Kuban symphonic orchestra. He will play works by the French composer Francis Poulenc.
Thomas Pirhonen from Finland will perform a diverse repertoire in Krasnodar on October 18.
Two young talented musicians represent France – Jean-Baptiste Dupont, playing on October 3* and Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard, closing the festival. The closing program will consist of the organ music by Mikael Tariverdiev and the musician’s own improvisations. The invited guest and the host of the show on October 31 is Vera Tariverdieva.
There will also be the musicians traditionally invited to the Krasnodar Festival who have already made up their regular audience – the masters of organ music – Yevguenia Lisitsyna (Riga, Latvia), her performance is planned on October 11, and Daniel Zaretsky (St Petersburg, Russia) playing in Krasnodar on October 7.
